Basement Floors

V‑SEAL's penetrating sealers and topical coatings create long-lasting basement floors that are easier to clean and more resistant to stains.
The same sealers used at Elon University, AMC Theaters, and Paul Brown Stadium are also available to seal and protect your basement.
V-SEAL Expert
V‑SEAL recommends a combination of penetrating sealers that soak into porous concrete creating a permanent chemical reaction, and topical coatings that are applied on top of concrete and masonry for extra protection, color enhancement and a wet look or gloss finish. Using a pump spray or roller, apply V‑SEAL 101 Multi-Surface Penetrating Sealer to your basement floor for a flat appearance that does not affect traction and is breathable. Phase II Penetrating Sealer Enhancer is the best way to supplement or re-seal surfaces previously sealed with V‑SEAL 101 or 102.
Suggested Product Types:
Penetrating Sealers:

Crystallize minerals in the substrate just below the surface. V-SEAL offers sealers that are hydrophobic and oleophobic.

Topical Sealers:

Form a membrane layer over the substrate surface adding protection from moisture stains, chemicals, grease, gas, oils, and adding decorative elements such as high shine or color.

pro tip no. 14
