EXPERT TECHNICAL ADVICE:

Encaustic Cement Tile Sealer

Encaustic Cement Tiles are rapidly gaining popularity in the US and worldwide.  They can be seen high profile venues such as the Four Seasons Hotel (Budapest) and Venetian Casino (Macau) and featured prominently in the cupcake shop of the CBS comedy Two Broke Girls.   During manufacturing colorful cement patterns are inlayed by hand into the tile (typically ¼ inch), creating a unique artistry that can potentially last hundreds of years (Spanish tiles produced in the 1850’sare still in use today).  Because of the extreme durability, encaustic cement tiles are an excellent choice for high traffic commercial venues – both indoors and outdoors.

Like all concrete, raw encaustic cement tiles are highly absorbent and proper sealing in critical to protect from freeze/thaw damage and stains.  Working in conjunction with major encaustic tile manufacturers V-SEAL Concrete Sealers has perfected a sealing process specifically engineered for encaustic cement tile that integrates seamlessly into the installation process and provides lasting protection from environmental elements as well as virtually all staining food ingredients including coffee, soda, beer, wine and Tabasco.  Sealer systems are available for both commercial and residential applications.

To facilitate proper application the V-SEAL Encaustic Tile Sealer System the company has produced an application video in both English and Mandarin.
