There are two main categories of driveway sealers: penetrating sealers and topical coatings. Penetrating sealers, such as V‑SEAL 101 and 102, soak into porous concrete and masonry creating a chemical reaction that strengthens the surface and repels water, oil, salt, and mold. The moisture-resistant barrier additionally helps prevent chipping, scaling, and cracking. Application with a pump sprayer or roller is recommended. Topical coatings, such as Industra‑Gloss SB and Industra‑Gloss WB, should be applied on top of the concrete or masonry and can offer extra protection plus color enhancement. These coatings also have enhanced capabilities to resist harsh contaminants.

Crystallize minerals in the substrate just below the surface. V-SEAL offers sealers that are hydrophobic and oleophobic.
Topical Sealers:Form a membrane layer over the substrate surface adding protection from moisture stains, chemicals, grease, gas, oils, and adding decorative elements such as high shine or color.
