Concrete Surface Identification

 

When selecting sealer it is valuable to know what type of concrete, brick, stone or hard surface you have.
As technicians, this information to help us determine our sealer recommendations to you.  We take into consideration not only the surface, but previous sealers, temperatures, geography, application expertise, and many other factors that help insure your successful project.

This page is to help you better identify your surface:

  • Light Broom Finish – Typical driveways and sidewalks, slightly rough, highly porous
  • Machine trowel Finish – Typical indoor concrete, basements, garages, fairly smooth, somewhat porous
  • Hand Trowel Finish – Between broom finish and machine trowel, often swirl designs, porous
  • Polished Concrete – Extremely smooth to the point of being shiny, minimal porosity
  • Exposed Aggregate – Exposed rocks spaced on concrete surface
  • Chattahoochee Finish – Exposed rocks on concrete surface, concrete not visible
  • Rock Salt Finish – Salt pits in concrete resemble travertine
  • Paver – Concrete
  • Paver – Clay
  • Stamped Concrete – Design imprinted into surface
  • Stained Concrete – Liquid color in surface
  • Integrally Colored – Color throughout mix
  • Engraved Cotncree – Design cut into surface
